And the Lakers collapse begins!! 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 23
This thread is for you, Mars, for railing on us Jazz fans and for being such a Laker home boy.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

If I were a fan of a team that blew one of the largest half-time leads in NBA Finals history, AT HOME, then I would be looking for a rock right about now...

All I can say is, "WOW".

Mars is a Kings fan. I'm a Laker fan and so I'd better man up and take my lumps....Congrats to the Celtics. Now for the cliche--I guess that is why they play 48 minutes...Last thought--how weird is it that in the second game in Boston the Lakers had an amazing but not complete comeback and here in the second game in LA the Celtics have an amazing and complete comeback? Celtics in 6....

Nawww...the Celtics win the next game. The Lakers are done. They are all tired of getting chewed out by Kobe on the sidelines.

Loved Kobe's postgame interview...when asked how he'll handle last night's loss he very eloquently said he was basically going to drown himself in alchohol. Nice example from the league MVP. Hey all you junior high and high school kids, if you ever have a bad game just do what the "Most VALUABLE Player" in the NBA does...get drunk! Wanna be like Kobe? Easy, just drink your losses away! A little beer, wine, shots and chasers never hurt anyone right? Congrats to the Celtics, they are turning me into a fan!

Anyone want to compare Pau Gasol's Finals stats with Kwame Brown's? I'd honestly like to see the comparison, because Gasol has done nothing in four games.

1st congrats to the Celtics

2nd You have to wonder how Phil Jackson won 9 rings when he can't sense when the road team has taken the momentum and find a way to get it back.

3rd This wasn't Kobes fault, just like last year wasn't Lebrons fault; when the series meant the most, guys like Fisher, Odom, and Gasol didnt' hit shots.

But let's give a little credit too....
Gasol's addition got them home court advantage all the way to the conference finals. Had he been with LA all season they would have had home court in the finals too.

He's just played timid against Garnett, something that will be remedied next year when Bynum does the majority of the banging and Gasol can play the 4 and guard the smaller slower of the 4/5 matchups.
(eg. Gasol would have guarded Perkins in this series)

9/10 "experts" picked La to win this series, but the Lakers that ran through the western conference have not shown up in the finals. Congrats Celtics and to our boy Danny Ainge... you just bought yourself a lifetime contract with the Celts.

other issues:
We're forgetting how young this LA team is compared to Boston, and aside from an awfil 4th quarter, this series would be tied.

Where's LAs bench been this series?

On another note, Farmar is the starting pt. guard next year, Derek Fisher just looks spent.
