Who is working with Trent on his training if he gets gassed at an NBA workout at lower altitude than he was training at only 6 weeks previous? This doesn't look good for the kid, and he was already slipping.
Altitude acclimatization is lost after 2-3 weeks so if Trent was away for six weeks or visiting sporadically without training at altitude, he would have no benefit from having trained here 6 weeks ago with respect to altitude.

"He struggled a little bit today physically, conditioning-wise, and I think he might have been a little sick," said Walt Perrin, Jazz player-personnel man, who then went on to list eight or nine things Plaisted needs to work on to be any kind of factor in the NBA.
It wasn't a ringing endorsement.
But, as Plaisted confessed: "What can I do about it now? . . . There's no going back."
Are you kidding me?
Here's egg on the face of all the Plaisted defenders.......
Don't say that cougar nation didn't warn you Trent.
Craig, before you start tossing eggs, at least get the facts straight. You did quote Walt Perrin's first two sentences correctly. Good... After that, is it just me, or did you mean to imply the rest of the paragraph was based on the article?
Walt Perrin's continued quote was "He needs to work on his total game. He needs to work on stepping out and hitting some jump shots, continue to work on his post-up game and moving his feet defensively" I count four elements of Perrin's assessment. I guess I need to be reading between the lines to see the 4 - 5 others. I also missed where Perrin stated the 'need to work on [them] to be any kind of factor in the NBA'.
Plaisted did say -
"I've never proclaimed myself to be a jump shooting Dirk Nowitzki-type of player. That's not my strength at this time. But I do have some things you can't teach and that's my athleticism and ability to run the floor.
"I'm in the middle of it and there is no turning back now."
That's not exactly the same, in content or context, as "But, as Plaisted confessed: "What can I do about it now? . . . There's no going back." which you then express your incredulity about.
Incredulous? I am.
I do appreciate what Plaisted has done for the BYU basketball program. Whatever his NBA draft status, he has made what he feels is his best choice and I hope for the best for him, whether in the NBA or not. If that makes me a Plaisted defender, then so be it.
Before accepting any egg on Plaisted's behalf, though, I'll acknowledge that I agree with what Perrin said. I also agree with what Plaisted said. I must say though, that I don't agree with much that you said about what they said.
