First off... Popular Mechanics is owned by Hearst Publications which is owned by GE which just so happens to be the largest defense contracting company in the United States. Follow the money.
Look, I'm just sharing what I've learned over the past few years... I would encourage you to do a little research on your own before insulting and patronizing someone who knows what they are talking about.
Thinks for the breakdown Bernstein (or is it Woodward -- maybe you're Deepthroat). Sounds like someone has been watched "All the President's Men" a few too many times. You forget that many Americans own GE stock, either in out-right purchases of GE stock or through some type of mutual fund. So I guess the massive cover-up was ordered by millions of Americans. Damn, we've done a pretty good job of keeping the lid on this thing.
Yes, GE is the 9th largest military contractor. But GE's total combined military contracts is about 1 percent of all military contracts, in terms of dollar amount. Yes, it is a good chunk of change, but GE hardly has their entire business plan banking on the War on Terrorism.
The problem Airwold is we have done our research, and we have found two things -- 1) the only 9/11 conspirecy was some crazy jihadists wanting to take down American iconic structures like the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. We can't keep quiet about our own spy programs. Do you really think that some rouge Government bureacrats could keep quiet about such a massive conspirecy to propel us into such a war? 2) That you are freaking crazy.

What are you talking about? Stock ownership in a company or corporaton automatically means that you're privy to everything that happens executively with upper management? Hardly.

Do you have any idea how many people were involved in the Manhattan Project who managed to keep it a complete and total secret? Around 130,000. Furthermore, I'm not saying that the Bush administration carried out the attacks, but IMHO, they were sure as hell complicit because they received warning after warning that something was going to happen, yet ignored every warning. At the bare minimum, the Bush administration was complicit and when you stop to consider who has benefited financially because of it, not to mention all of the executive orders Bush has signed into law since 9/11, it is easy to see why it would have been allowed to proceed. The Bush administration has done more to destroy our freedoms and liberties than any terrorist could have ever hoped for. Do some research into the executive orders he has signed into law since 9/11... he's signed more of them than all of the other U.S. presidents combined, most of which curtail freedoms, snub the constitution and give the government the right to seize and control just about everything in the event of a national emergency or disaster. This isn't conjecture or heresay either. Don't believe me... look into it for yourself.

I'm calmed down now. In any theory, there are small discrepancies. What the 9/11 conspiricists have done is point out any small discrepancy and say that the whole thing must be wrong. If you truly believe that, Airwolf, I have a challenge for you. I want to know what you think happened. You can't just say you don't believe the mainstream. You have to say what you think happened. Tell us, and then we can do to your theory what you have been doing to the mainstream. We will show any and all discrepancies. That's how the scientific method works, after all. You have a hypothesis, and then you test it and see if it can hold up against criticism. If you won't, then don't bother commenting, because we know you don't even believe your own story.
Here's my challenge Airwolf. It's your turn to defend what you think happened.
I'm still waiting, Airwolf.

And yet, the Russians still got the secrets from Los Alamos through spying and betrayal. In other words, someone didn't keep the secret. This ones for you and your logic Airwolf:

Are you kidding, there is WAY too much to point out. Here, start with this... it should keep you busy for a while...

Speaking of the scientific method, here's what has happened with 9/11...
Scientists: "Here are the facts, what conclusions can we draw from them"?
Government: "Here's the conclusion, what theories can we come up with"?

Ok, Airhead. I'm calling you on this one too.
Executive Orders signed by various presidents:
| Code: |
Pres. Nbr Yrs in office EO's/yr
------------------------------------
Bush-43 261 - 7 years - 37.29/yr
Clinton 363 - 8 years - 45.38/yr
Bush-41 165 - 4 years - 41.25/yr
Reagan 380 - 8 years - 47.50/yr
Carter 319 - 4 years - 79.75/yr
Ford 168 - 3 years - 56.00/yr
Nixon 345 - 5 years - 69.00/yr
LBJ 323 - 5 years - 64.60/yr
JFK 213 - 3 years - 71.00/yr
DDE 481 - 8 years - 60.13/yr
HST 893 - 7 years - 127.57/yr
FDR 3466 - 13 years - 266.00/yr
HH 995 - 4 years - 248.75/yr
|
By any measure, Bush has not even come close to signing the most executive orders. In fact Bush has issued fewer Executive Orders on a per year basis than any of the past 13 presidents (covering a period of 79 years).
FDR issued more Executive Orders per year than Bush has in all seven years combined.
Get your facts straight Airhead and quit spouting your big line of BS.
