Currently a Statistics Major at BYU, and I am hoping to have some info to post here on a study I'm working on regarding BYU and the polls. Currently working on make a full convert to BYU football of my young sister (she really enjoyed the CSU she attended last year.) Served in California, Roseville mission 2003-2005.

I'm the director of operations for a construction company in Juneau, Alaska. I grew up in Provo, but moved when I was 12. My dad was a masonry contractor, and in the late 80's it was bad in Utah, but booming in Alaska. I grew up with seasons tickets to football and basketball. My dad was and still is one of those who came/comes home hoarse from each game. He trained me well, as I'm sometimes classified as obsessive. Like that could really be possible, honestly!
I grew up a regular post game run to the locker room and get autographs kid. I still have programs from the day with tons of autographs. My favorite experience was trying to get into the locker room the year after Jim McMahon graduated, and not getting any where close to getting in. I was really bummed, and was about to leave when I felt a hand on my shoulder, and heard someone ask "What's wrong buddy?". I turned to stare into Jim McMahon's face, and told him I couldn't get into the locker room to get autographs. He smiled, then personally took me into the locker room, and to all the best players and asked them if they would sign a program for his "little buddy".
I was on cloud 9 when I returned to my dad and told him what had happened. BYU football is definately in my blood. I have had to learn, at the express direction of my patient wife, to controll my post game emotions when the cougs loose. I used to get really bummed, and was accoused of being "grouchy". So I now take it in stride!
I love everything about BYU football, and am so excited at the changes Bronco and his staff have made in the program. The future is truely bright!
GO COUGS!!!!!!!!!

I graduated from BYU in 2003, and I have no real connection to any BYU sports program. I am a CPA in the San Francisco Bay Area. My love for BYU sports started at an early age, but was cemented during the 2001 football season. While I do not post much, I am an avid Cougarblue reader and check the site daily for updates about my beloved Cougs. I attend as many sporting events as possible and have made it to the last two bowl games. My children can sing the entire fight song by the time they are 18 months (it is a requirement I have for them before they can attend nursery).
I make sure to say something about BYU sports in every church talk, lesson and sometimes prayer that I give.
I am making the switch to Directv if Dish Network does not conform to my many requests to add the Mtn.
I believe in Bronco and I am almost in agreement with my High-Councilman that they should just call him (Bronco) to be a mission president and make playing football at BYU a mission call.

Sounds like ol Jim was a much better person than his reputation gives him credit for. Great story!

Being 10 at the time, and then moving when I was 12, I don't know too much about his rep. But if it was bad, which it sounds like it was at times, they do say that even the sun shines on a dogs backside everyonce in a while! Maybe it was really sunny in Provo that day?!

I don't work. I live in my parents basement and spend my time scowering the internet for Cougar news. My bed and computer desk can be found squeezed between my parents food storage and Christmas decorations. I rarely leave the confines of the basement. I can't remember the last time I was out in the sun it's been so long and when I do decide to venture outside it is only under a heavy masking of sun screen with a SPF rating of 45 or higher and even then for no more then an hour at a time.
Any extra time I might have after searching the internet for Cougar news, I spend watching past games of Cougar sports. I currently own every game BYU played in football since 1980, every basketball game since 1982, I have 233 men's volleyball games on tape, 156 womens gymnastic events, 112 womens soccer, 56 mens soccer, and 5 tennis matches. Oh and I have almost everyone of them memorized by heart.
And my favorite color is of course blue, followed closely by hunter green.
Go Cougs!
P.S. Please don't take me seriously.
