Marion Jones has to a close runner up. After years of denials, her gold medals are stripped because of doping. To make matters worse, because she cheated, the 3 other innocent members of the 400 meter relay team had to forfeit their medals as well (after losing an appeal to the IOC). Cheaters never win.

I know this is usually sports-related, but you did say people-edition (not clarifying what kinds of people):

Miley Cyrus - no young woman is looked up to and idolized by more young people, and then she starts her Britney Spears/Christina Aguilerra phase before hitting 16.

Don't forget her tearful plead/appeal to avoid jail because she needed to take care of her sons...

To add to the Clemens nomination.

What kind of husband, when being questioned by CONGRESS!! not only lies about taking HGH, but then blames his wife for his exposure to HGH. The guy freaking blamed it on his wife and her obsessions.

Not just "no, I didn't do it" but "no I didn't do it, my wife did it"

Pathedic. I hope he does jail time.

I'm almost more ok with Michael Vick than I am Roger Clemens. At least Vick apoligized, gave a heart felt statement, and is doing his time like a man. Clemens just whines and blames his problems on his wife. She is probably the reason he felt compelled to bang a 15 year old Mindy McCready too.
