I'll bite too. Name, I grew up in Hawaii and went to Kahuku. Imua is the Hawaiian term that means "forward" as in "onward and upward". "Uncle Doug" used to lead his team with "Imua Pirates" for the little league baseball team he coached. I was a little kid and I thought it was such a cool thing to yell out instead of "go team" because it means so much more. I would love to hear the players shout "Imua Cougars" in the sideline break but I think they would need to get an understanding of it first. It is a yell that is kind of like the haka in that it is about sacrificing all for the advancement of the group, or team in this case.
My afan for BYU is that I am a convert and when I learned what life was really about and not what the world taught it was, I really appreciated the image and mission of BYU. Then players (Lakei and Hema,)who were friends from my ward and hometown (Jack Damuni, the Atuai's)started playing at the Y it cemented the hometown bond with the cougars.
The pic reminds me of an experience I had when I was 13 or 14. I was surfing second break in Laie (teaching my little bro how to surf just like my big bro taught me), when a 6 to 8 foot tiger shark swam under my board as I was trying to catch a wave. Needless to say that put a damper on the surfing lessons that day.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
My avitar used to be Kwitt crying after the Harline catch but I got tired of looking at him and found something more me.
