I know, cheesey, but ya had to see it comin.

Whoever designed that flag must have been inspired - putting the blue above the red just as it should be...

Some pretty nice homes in Happy Valley. Live must be treating you well.

I always wondered if there is any significance to the fact that if one travels a bit further down the road from Happy Valley you end up in Boring, OR?

And stranger still, depending on the direction of travel they are both on the road to Damascus.

Probably some biblical connotation there but I'm too tired to think of it...

Okay, I'm in. Stat short for statistics, which is my major. Cougar is self explainitory. I'm an air force brat and one of my earliest memories is watching cnn during desert storm and seeing the f-117s. I've study military history and technology since then.

I'm in...

My middle name is Rex, after my mom's dad, Grandpa Rex. He was great!!!

The B is actually a play on T-Rex, King of the Dinosaurs; King of the BYU Fans, and I changed my avitar from a cartoon T-Rex to the Burger King dude; Burger King becomes B-Rex.

My grandkids think I'm funny, but they'll grow out of it.

My user name means absolutely nothing.

It is a made up name that I created years ago when writing letters to the editor of the Vancouver Columbian, after receiving several anonymous death threats when I used my real name. The Portland area is a tough place to be a vocal conservative, especially seeing how serious the dims were about free speech (so long as it agrees with their agenda).

My avatar is one I use on a couple of private stock investor message boards (Ninja Traders - we had the name before someone stole it to name a product) on the worldcrossing website. Since the colors were pretty darn close I decided to use the same avatar.

I hope the username makes sense.

The avatar is the official uniform device of the Peer Support Program for the United States Border Patrol. It is an awesome program that i helped develop and for which I am now the director. Agents on the team respond to critical incidents around the world and i get to go with them. May 15th is National Peace Officer's Memorial Day and i am here in DC this week helping survivors get through an emotional time. The agency to which the Border Patrol belongs had 7 line of duty deaths last year and so we have about 110 family members here now. Very hard. Kind of chokes me up to see a 10 year old kid wearing a police uniform that was made special for him to wear as the country honors his father who is never coming home again.
