I suppose this is supposed to be a shot at California, but this does seem to be a bit insensitive. Did you ever think there might be members of this board (myself included) who have connections to China?
I much prefer the response supplied by the LDS church in doing all they can to send relief and support to those people who are in such incredibly dire straits. The pictures of what those people are going through and the reports are incredible. The news reported a day or so ago that there were 4300 schools that were demolished. That is an incredible number of people who are suffering for the loss of their children. There were very few children who survived the quakes. The Chinese gov has commented that there is to be a huge investigation in why so many schools had been built that were not even close to quake resistant when the money had been spent to make sure they were. People suffer when corruption has its way.
