When the SNL "Lazy Sunday" hit YouTube, it promted several responses... one was "Lazy Muncie" by Chris Cox and Kirby Heyborne. They drop F-bombs and use other profanity. I lost a bit of respect for Kirby the day I saw it.

Here's the link

Didn't he at least pretend to smoke in "Saints and Soldiers" also?

He had to pretend to smoke, but there was nothing wrong with that in that film. He did not smoke. It was called for in the role he had to play, but I never thought he was out of line, given the movie, the role, etc.

The more I thought about this whole thing tonight, the more upset I became, mostly with myself. I said in my first posting that I would be disappointed if it was Kirby. I know Kirby, and have known him well since he was a youth. He is a good person, with a kind heart and a good spirit. And that is how a person should be measured, not by some artifical standard that we impose without knowing the facts. He has had some incredibly bad things happen to him in his life, things that well could have affected most of us in a negative, testimony-destroyng way. But those things did not seem to get him down then, and I doubt they have him down now. None of us can or should judge what we think we see. The only person I am really disappointed with in this life is me.

No judgment coming from this direction.

But, as a factual matter, that was definitely him in the beer commercial. As for the Lazy Muncie video, I doubt it was him really singing (that's when all of the language comes out).
