BYU head football coach Bronco Mendenhall announced on Sunday that sophomore inside linebacker Terrance Hooks and sophomore tight end Vic So'oto have been suspended from the team for violation of team rules.

It's almost certainly something serious, or Bronco wouldn't have announced it so quickly, on a Sunday. Oh, wait a minute---don't Sundays follow Saturday nights? . . .

This could be a big loss. So'oto was poised to have a breakout year. The kid who had been recruited by USC, UCLA, Oklahoma, etc, was just coming into his own and making headlines this spring. Now, who knows?...
