Where is the as-promised "ignore" feature? Same place as the "Easy" button?

The "promise" came from me that I would work my best at convincing the Daily Herald to add the feature even if it meant working with the code myself. But, this change happened as I had JUST returned from living in the Netherlands and was training at my summer job.

So, I was unable to add any input on the change before it happened. Sorry about that and my earlier promise to work on the changes personally with all your input that had been given. But, I think what Mark has put together here is pretty sweet and meets the hopes that everyone had.

But, about the ignore feature Mark already addressed it in an early post: http://www.cougarblue.com/content/view/5033/90/

Would have copied it here but copy and paste isn't working for me here at work or that article doesn't allow copy and paste. I am not sure with this new style yet.

I also noticed that one old feature that helped me skim through the threads is now gone. After I would view a thread, it would be marked "read" instead of "unread". After I would leave the site, that thread would be updated "unread" if a new post was made.

Now, a thread is simply marked "read" or "unread" if I ever looked at it. It no longer updates.

Is there a preference I have to update with my profile, or is this just the way it is?

Thx-

Oh, now I see the same ? being asked on another thread. For the record, I like having the old way, too, but maybe I can adjust to the "Posts since last visit."

Post edited by: jhw5, at: 2007/05/10 08:01

I definitely like quick reply. It makes it so much easier to post. I beileve that my "posts per visit" has increased.

Plus, I want to be a junior, sophomore just seems so not ready for primetime.

Is there any way to view who left you karma? I would like to know, so maybe I could return the favor. I'm surprisingly up to 2. It's cool.

Unfortunately, there is no data saved that I have access to about who leaves Karma.

With this new boardstyle I have been downgraded from Admin to Moderator so I have much less access to things now. So, you may have to address Mark Bullard for those questions.

Alright, so now I'm seeing that the "Posts since last visit" only updates with the number of new posts. However, that is only since like 3 a.m. this morning, not since my last visit.

Is this a CB bug, or a jhw5 bug?

So how can I find a cool pic to go with my name? 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 9
I have no picture with my name and the ones to pick from are very lame. Where do you find cool ones and how do you get them uploaded?

Anyone want to help me?
