Anyway, yeah, cocky quarterbacks are bad and crack under pressure. I'm just glad the Jim McMahon was the most humble quarterback to put on a BYU jersey and that there wasn't any pressure, say, one December night in San Diego. Otherwise he wouldn't have led the biggest bowl comeback in history.
You see, Captain Logic, if you want to prove a point by example, you'd better make sure there isn't a single counterexample. Otherwise your sweeping generalizations fall apart like Utah's secondary after 10 seconds.
Harline's STILL open!
Wasn't Ben Olson ridiculed on this board for his cockiness? Suddenly it's a good thing?
But more importantly, what does “taking ownership off the offense” mean? Is it when someone is proactive in synergizing an outside the box, win, win… win?
Olson took a lot of heat in this forum for his cockiness...
after he made the decision to go to UCLA after his mission. It's amazing... if a prospective QB chooses BYU, he's loved to death and receives nothing but praise, adoration and is put on a pedastal, but transfer, and he's suddenly going to be a bust, can't throw, is slow, sucks, etc and is public enemy #1... that shows the true character of most of the boys in here.

Post edited by: Airwolf84, at: 2007/07/30 16:30
