I have CSTV, but not the sports pack. It is part of the Digital Cable pack.

And to second what some others have said. We called to switch to a lower price tier and Comcast cut us a deal to not switch... it was equivalent to their current promotion. Anyway... Versus and mtn. are on the basic pack (ch 34 and 37) and CSTV is on the first tier of Digital (Ch 267 or 276 or something like that...)

I believe we also have some games on CSTV.
Is that on satelite?
And, is it an extra fee with Comcast?

If you have Comcast, to get CSTV, you have to order the Sports package for $5.99 a month. Versus is part of standard cable I believe, but no mtn outside of the MWC. As of right now, the Arizona, UCLA, and TCU games will be on Versus and the Tulsa, New Mexico, and Utah games will be on CSTV. That's 6 of 12--not bad considering in 2005, the only regular season game available nationally was the Notre Dame game.

I'm behind everyone in getting the satellite companies onboard with The mtn. but my situation is a little different. I've had Comcast cable now for almost two years and last year was able to watch all of The mtn. telecasts but after b-ball season my wife and I decided to downgrade our cable to ease the budget (and because there's nothing good on in summer...golf, baseball...zzz). Anyway, I called Comcast today to see what I will have to do just to add The mtn. and I was told I would need to upgrade my cable which will run me approx $45.00 more per month! And that isn't for the top tier package either. If the decision were mine I would bite the bullet and sign up but the wife says "No way!". I either need an inheritance, a pay raise, or a miracle in order to get The mtn. this year. I think I'm stuck.

Not bad unless you count all the other games available nationally on BYU-TV via tape-delay later the same evening of the game--that makes 12 of 12 available nationally.
Are you sure about this? Last year I remember going to BYU-TV in hopes of watching the game only to be disappointed with a rebroadcast of the 1980 Holiday Bowl. Rebroadcast of the game, either on KBYU or on BYU-TV did not occur until later in the week.

We are both correct--I was posting in regards to 2005...you are referring to last year, or 2006.

Re:I surrendered 11 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 13
I will be moving to Oregon and I want to get ready for football season. Should I get satelitte or cable? Probably not cable right because there is no chance I get the mountain through cable outside the MWC footprint? So then my best bet is to go with a satelitte company in hopes that they will eventually carry the mountain. But which one? How much will I have to pay to get CSTV and VS (and hopefully someday the mountain)? Is DirectTV really out of the negotiations (there is conflicting info on this, some say directtv will soon be picking it up)? I really don't know what to do...can you guys give me some advice please? What should I do?
