And I can honestly say that I prefer Comcast over any of the others for both TV and internet.

I've had Comcast at several different addresses now and can't say I have a single complaint about them.

So you don't mind paying 40% or so more for tv and internet services?

I've got comcast but can't wait until the satellite companies pick up the mtn. I'll be able to save about 40$ combined when I dump comcast cable and net.

I have had Comcast for about 4 years now, and the only thing I really like about it is that I get Versus and Fox Sports North in HD--good for watching NHL, Gopher hockey, and Twins games. I also get CSTV, that means that combined with what I get on Versus, I can watch about half of BYU's games.

The one thing that kills me about the whole ESPN TV deal is that BYU is never on in HD. Last year, BYU was in HD twice--the BC game on ESPN2 and the Las Vegas Bowl on ESPN(2?). Meanwhile I get all these other games on the ESPNs, ABC, NBC, and CBS in stunning HD. This year, it appears that only the bowl game will be in HD unless (cross your fingers) Versus decides to broadcast college football in HD. Those of you with HDTVs will know where I'm coming from--once you get it, it's hard to go back.

Seriously. I just bought a 26 inch sharp lcd hdtv. I'm really excited to watch the nfl and college football in HD. It would be nice if BYU still had an occasional game on KSL, at least they could broadcast in HD.

CSTV questions: 11 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 6
I believe we also have some games on CSTV.
Is that on satelite?
And, is it an extra fee with Comcast?

I also must admit that I have finally bit the bullet and purchased COX cable for myself. The days of mooching off people are over, and I will now be watching all games (except UNLV, UCLA and 1 game in Provo) in the comfort of my own home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have Comcast, to get CSTV, you have to order the Sports package for $5.99 a month. Versus is part of standard cable I believe, but no mtn outside of the MWC. As of right now, the Arizona, UCLA, and TCU games will be on Versus and the Tulsa, New Mexico, and Utah games will be on CSTV. That's 6 of 12--not bad considering in 2005, the only regular season game available nationally was the Notre Dame game.
