Hey, I am not at all afraid of the home opener against Arizona, but the first road game against UCLA terrifies me. I think I am going to make the trip to the Rose Bowl, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any reasons for me that we should be afraid of the Cats? More importantly can anyone give me a glimmer of hope against the Bruins?

Uh, 10 guys returning on a D that held an experienced BYU offense last year to 13 points? You are using your head and logic is dictating your thought process, which is why you are questioning yourself about BYU's chances against the Cats and Bruins... I like it... keep it up.

You're right, you should be nervous about UCLA; they're freaking UCLA! They are a good team. I think there is always a glimmer of hope with this BYU team that is put together this year. As the last comment said we have a solid defense. We also have probably the best o-line I've seen in years. (I may have a bias there.) The x-factor in this whole season is Max Hall. Everyone says he's no John Beck, but even John Beck was no John Beck his first year. Let's hold our breath and hope.

Oh brother, here we go again with the "10 guys returning on a D that held an experienced BYU offense last year to 13 points...blah blah blah". It was the first game of the season, on the road. The cougars learned alot from that game. Had there been a re-match I would have wagered a large amount of $$$ that BYU would have blasted them for 21+. TCU had arguably an equal or better defense and we dropped 31 points on their *ss on their home field...and they were ranked #15, not a bottom-feeder.

Congrats to Jason and his new wife. Not the best timing for a honeymoon, but best of luck to him this season!
