As if national rankings and bragging rights aren't enough reason to beat Arizona and UCLA this fall, Airwolf has given us new incentive to beat the hated PAC-10 foes. Earlier today he posted the following promise:

OK... I'll tell you what... if BYU goes out and proves me wrong against Arizona and UCLA, I'll offer a humble and sincere apology and then cease and desist with any negative posts for the rest of the season. I know most of you will find this hard to believe, but I will honor my word. Unfortunately, I really doubt I'll be in a position to have to offer one though.

Gentlemen (and the occasional gentle lady), this news of potential relief from Airwolf's inanity is worthy of our attention. It may even be worthy of our prayers. Personally, I believe he will be good to his word; if we beat both Arizona and UCLA, I fully expect him to pen yet another apology (you can find the first one in the thread "CFN rates the QBs"), and from that time forth I expect him to write nothing but positive predictions and analysis about the boys in blue. It's almost too good to be true.

So it is written, so let it be done.

I meant what I said... if BYU moves the football effectively against Arizona and UCLA and manages to make close games out of both contests or wins either one, I will honor my word and eat crow and then for dessert, a big piece of humble pie. But like I said... don't count on it... BYU's offense won't be good enough to beat the Cats or Bruins... two teams with defenses ranked in the top 15. It's going to go from bad to worse from week 1 to 2 because UCLA has a better offense and defense than Arizona... the margin of victory will be bigger for the Bruins.

Airwolf84, I challenge you to clearly identify yourself if BYU beats both AZ and UCLA this year (the day BYU plays UCLA). Give us your real name, school affiliation, and city where you live. Give me that and you can continue to write whatever you want (neg. or pos about BYU) - it's still freedom of the press, isn;t it?

I'm actually Spider-man!

Sorry... I won't be divulging my identity or demographics any time soon. Besides... a few of you have already stated that I live in a van down by the river... start combing the Provo river bottoms and you just might find me.
