Airwolf gives us more incentive to beat AZ and UCLA 1 Year ago Karma: 91
As if national rankings and bragging rights aren't enough reason to beat Arizona and UCLA this fall, Airwolf has given us new incentive to beat the hated PAC-10 foes. Earlier today he posted the following promise:

OK... I'll tell you what... if BYU goes out and proves me wrong against Arizona and UCLA, I'll offer a humble and sincere apology and then cease and desist with any negative posts for the rest of the season. I know most of you will find this hard to believe, but I will honor my word. Unfortunately, I really doubt I'll be in a position to have to offer one though.

Gentlemen (and the occasional gentle lady), this news of potential relief from Airwolf's inanity is worthy of our attention. It may even be worthy of our prayers. Personally, I believe he will be good to his word; if we beat both Arizona and UCLA, I fully expect him to pen yet another apology (you can find the first one in the thread "CFN rates the QBs&quot, and from that time forth I expect him to write nothing but positive predictions and analysis about the boys in blue. It's almost too good to be true.

So it is written, so let it be done.

If you can prove this to be the case, I will offer the biggest apology you ever saw.

I doubt he will be true to his word. He continues to fail to come clean on this promise he made and ignores it. He won't stay true to his word.

BTW--please do not ding Cruisers Karma for mentioning "he who shall not be named".

Airwolf84, I challenge you to clearly identify yourself if BYU beats both AZ and UCLA this year (the day BYU plays UCLA). Give us your real name, school affiliation, and city where you live. Give me that and you can continue to write whatever you want (neg. or pos about BYU) - it's still freedom of the press, isn;t it?

I say, if BYU beats AZ and, I think an even more impressive win would be UCLA on the road (We've only beaten them once, which was in Pasadena btw), we have a very good chance of running the table (barring key injuries) and busting the BCS wide open, maybe even a National Championship (yes, I dared say it) if the stars line up just right again (every major team having at least one loss and we're the only undefeated a la 1984). Go Coogs!

Who cares about malaria. The IMPORTANT stuff caught my attention.

Are you saying you expect a BYU win in Pasadena!?

I have hopes and carefully nurtured, guarded dreams. But expectations!? Easy Cruiser. Don't run my heart needlessly. Tell us what you're thinking.

Post edited by: Yzzazz, at: 2007/08/10 09:15
