They try to do it.. but it doesn't waste much time. Like someone said, you just get fouled. It's more effective to play the passing game on the defensive half of the field. I just watched the US v Eng game and I must say, being the first womens game I've watched in a while, they look pretty good and it's surprisingly enjoyable to watch. They seem a lot quicker with the ball and waaay more creative than they did back in the 90s. Back in those days it was more on the level of high school boys soccer.
