I'm not too worried about what these kids did. It's not my business to know their mistakes, and judging from Bronco's punishment it doesn't seem to be anything bigger than transgressions of youth. I know that I am glad that I didn't have newspapers reporting on all of my mistakes when I was 18...especially because I wouldn't want my wife looking them all up eight years later

So your saying your wife married a BAD BOY... or is it a "cougar" in sheeps clothing? ;)

Not a Bad Boy, but wives have an ability to make something look worse than it is. You blow up a few pumpkins here and there and all of a sudden you aren't the man she married...hypothetically of course. I wouldn't know for sure...

Since they aren't suspended from the team, I too don't think that this will be a big deal. Bronco is fair, but if anything he is heavy handed.

I guess you also have to keep it all in prespective. The Florida State Criminols announced yesterday that one of there starters was arrested for drug posession and will be demoted to 2nd string as his punishment.

I'm glad for the standards and know how young 18 year olds struggle. Lets hope they grow from this.

Go Cougs

Which really doesn't mean anything to me. The honor code covers so much from the stupid and mundane to very serious matters. I would imagine everybody breaks the honor code at some point at BYU. Lets hope it was just one of the stupid things. Considering Bronco and how he deals with punishment fairly forcefully I would imagine what they did is very minimal. Better to scare the kids and keep them straight then have the think they can get away with more.

You wouldn't have happened to live in Budge Hall in '99, would you?? I just remember torching a pumpkin or two with 1/4 sticks in the parking lot, setting off all car alarms, and then spending the remainder of the evening eluding the fun police whilst our ears were ringing. There were further pumpkin incidents that winter with Merrill Hall---there were a lot of pumpkins that semester and I was just curious if by off chance it was the same experience.

From the suspensions, it sounds like whatever it was was less then some of the things that have gone on over the last couple of years. Fahu Tahi was suspended for a game two years ago for a minor offense. I have to assume it is less than whatever he did because these players were only suspended from practice and could be back for the game if they complete their tasks.

I have never attended BYU, and only know the big things from the Honor Code (drinking, sex, drugs, etc.). I have to assume, based on the type of suspension that it was one of the lesser offenses that was violated.

Kessman from what I can tell has been a major disappointment. He got no mention during fall practices on this board, was never really considered on the two-deep from what I can tell.

Please let me know if I am mistaken on any of these issues.

Whoa there!.. I hope you're not referring to the five o'clock shadow rule. Really, there is no better measure of a man's spirituality than his frequency of shaving.
