You're right for the most part unfed trolls leave. Airwolf is not a troll, he's a truly insane parasite that would wants others to be as miserable as he is. You'd have to have been around a little more than a few weeks to know this. He's not going anywhere unless those capable of banning that account have a say. Feed him or not he's coming back for more, it's just a matter of time.

I'm in favor of ousting him! You got my vote.

I have read virtually every thread in this board for the past year or so. I know who you're talking about, believe me. Just continue feeding him like this so he will be sure he has motivation to come back. Threads like this dedicated to complaining about him are a special treat to him! Even better than a free hot dog!

I have been reading this board for over 3 years and posting sporadically for about 18 months. Airwolf has been here the whole time... I have seen his posts ignored and I have seen his posts incite riots (and some really long threads).

I admit I have succumbed to the temptation and answered a few of his posts. Maybe I can't help myself. However, I think I need to treat him like I treat telemarketers... I just don't answer the phone when I don't want to talk.

I recently brought a presenter to my department at work who spoke on team building... guy is a FB HC for Boys Town HS in Omaha, NE. All kinds of delinquents and kids nobody else wants, ususally gets them for 2 years +/-. On this subject, he said gossips/whiners need someone to listen to them. If no one stands at the water cooler and gives an ear, the whining and gossip stops.

Not saying AirWolf will stop, but if we don't respond, he won't have the satisfaction of getting our dander ruffled (which satisfaction may be better than a free hot dog for him.)

If that doesn't work, try stuff like this conversation I had recently with a telemarketer (which got her to hang up on me):

Telemarketer: Hello, Mr HoosierCougar, I am calling from...
Me: I am sorry, we don't accept phone solicitaions.
TM: That's OK, I am not selling anything.
ME: Did you know that "solicit" does not mean "to sell"?
TM: Excuse me?
ME: That's right, "solicit" does not mean "to sell". For expample, you can be arrested for soliticing prostitution when, in fact, she's the one selling!
TM: Well, how about I just help you with a very big problem?
ME: Gee, sounds more and more like prostitution all the time!
TM: **click**

I don't remember when I last opened and read a topic that he started and I skip over his comments. One of my rules in life is Never argue with an Idiot which is why I avoid other boards that are full of smack talking idiots. If you don't like what he has to say just don't open one of his treads, if every thread he starts sits there with 0 comments and 0 hits then he becomes irrelevant.

I like that much more than trying to decide who can and can't post on the site. Use your agency and ignore him!

I totally agree with the "ignore him" mentality, as that is what I try to do, problem is, it will NOT work. You have to pay attention to this board for a long period of time to truly understand his tactics. Because many just frequent the board now and then (and new people come in all the time), they will see one of his posts, it will incite them, and we are once again feeding the troll. Most don't know that he has nothing positive to offer. I've said it before but to those who know his tactics..... "When you wrestle with pigs, you both get dirty, but the pig enjoys it." It's a bummer that he can't have a meaningful conversation, but he can't..... Hey Airwolf, I like ya man, it's your tactics that make no sense.

Go Cougars.... I've been taking some crap from some Utah fans today complaining about officiating and such...... It's awesome, I listen to their drivel, wait for them to stop spewing nonsense and then just say, "4th and 18", it's worked 3 times.....
