Let me set the record straight. I did not write this neither was my intention to pass it off as my own work. I don't actually visit cougarboard but got the message in an email from a guy in my ward who was taunting Ute fans. I read it, thought it was great and wanted to share it with you guys. I didn't have time to research its origins and really didn't think about putting in an exclaimer that it was not from me. My thought process was much like quickly forwarding on a funny email to friends without writing a personal message; only in this case my friends were you guys here and not email friends and in jumping from email to the cougarblue forum you were not able to see the origins of the message.

For the record I have no big hopes of building a great profile here, I come to read and share my love for the cougars. I am setting the record straight mainly because I didn't want an unanswered accusation to distract from all of the fantastic responses in this post. I am sorry if you felt mislead as that was not my intention, it was just trying to share something really funny.

Ahh, the Princess Bride... one of my favorite movies of all-time and indeed an absolute classic! I've been reading, laughing and enjoying this thread and agree 100% with Jared... probably the best ever on the site (yes, it even trumps the spoof done with me as a sacrifical lamb)! Kudos to you PhillyCougar... a good laugh is exactly what we all need every now and then!!! OK, can't help but add to the true genius of this thread:

Is Princess Bride just huge in the "Mormon culture"? Most of my out of state non-LDS friends have seen it, but can't quote every line like your typical Mormon.

P.S. I hate calling membership of the LDS Church "Mormons", but writing out member of the LDS Church just takes so long.

You could revert to bulletin-boardese and just use MOTLDSC. But in a few years we'd all forget what it stood for (or am I the only one that has to Google some of the acronyms?).
