Help: Ranking BYU's 2008 Recruiting Class 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 12
Anybody know where next year's recruiting class ranks (preferably by scout, the computer at work blocks scout.com for some reason)?
Thanks.

Scout, Rivals and Espn have us somewhere in the 40's as far as quality of recruits but some of the recruits they have as 2 stars i think are a lot better than they are giving credit for. We have another poly running back coming in who averaged 177 yards a game this year and is only ranked a 2 star he also played very well at linebacker. We have 2 very good safties coming in also. One from California is ranked very high on espn and scout and one from hawaii also ranked high on both those sites. Austin Holt is our highest rated at a 4 star along with a jc transfer. We have a 3 star WR coming in from American Fork and a kicker who in practice(which i watched and can vouch for)was kicking 70 yard field goals in practice off the ground. He kicked a 62 yarder in a game this year and to get ready for college he didnt use the high school tee. I love the recruiting part of football so if you have any other questions i should be able to find out info for you.

The kicker has a monster leg, but he may only be doing kickoffs next year. He choked on a couple of chip shots in the state playoffs this year.

Who is the runningback of which you speak? I know about Bruner from vancouver (my home town ), but I hadn't heard anything about this other guy, maybe you could fill us in.

The other RB's name is Sete Pohahau. He's been tearing it up his Senior year.

Here is a link to his Junior Highlights Sete's Junior Highlights Video

He looks pretty quick, maybe not as shifty as J.J. but he should be another great back in the Stable. I'm pretty sure he's LDS as well and will be going on a mission so he could be our back after Harvey and J.J. have graduated.

Seta is Manase Tonga's cousin as well (same high school that he went to.) He is a beast. He only got 177 a game because they'd sit him for the second half after they began blowing the other team away. He is very good.

Bruner didn't play much offense this season, he will probably be a linebacker at BYU. He has great size (6'3, 225 with a reported 4.4)

Rival's has BYU commit Jake Murphy (WR, 6'5) as a four-star. He has been courted by USC after scoring 5 TD's against Mater Dei in california.

I heard that Pohahau would possibly/probably switch to LB in college. He'd probably see more PT (one, maybe two featured backs at the Y vs. 4 featured LBs) here if he made the switch.

Maybe I'm getting him mixed up with Bruner - seems like Bruner was projected to switch as well.
