Craigoscarson: You missed Mauga in the your line-up of defensive linemen. BYU will be very deep at this position next year (makes me wonder if we could see a 4-3 at some point, but I digress.)

Cody Raymond could walk-on, but I don't believe he is being recruited, nor is Frandsen. Raymond definitely fits your description of small, reliable WR, he has posted amazing number in high school. Frandsen, on the other hand, is a taller (6'4 I think) receiver with great speed 4.4, but not being recruited either. Both could end up as preferred walk-ons, but neither are likely to get a scholarship in 08.

Rumors also have it that 4 star LB Uona Kaveinga is very much considering BYU despite his verbal to UCLA. If Dorrell gets fired, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come to BYU.

That would be AMAZING!
How many scholarships do we have left to give out 2?
Do you know where the Uona rumors are coming from??

Sorry, who was the starting nose tackle who was injured at the beginning of this year? We will get him back, if he is not already back, I do not know.

Whatever happened with Chambers? I haven't seen his name mentioned so I assume he signed elsewhere.

We are getting loaded on defense! This is exciting! As they always say "defense wins championships". This way our offense won't have to put up 42 points a game in order to win it!

Bronco sure is doing wonders for this program!

Tialavea was our best dlineman last year before he got hurt in camp.
Throw in Jorgenson, Denney, Tonga, Hola, Wolfley and Mauga if he plays dline and you're talking about a 3-4 that will never get tired. They'll be rotating fresh players every series. That plays large in the 4th quarter of tight games...

Outside of losing Kehl, I think our linebacker corps will be as good as this year. I don't think anyone at BYU has ever open field tackled as well as Bryan Kehl does. I wish him the best and hope he ends up in an NFL system that uses him correctly....

Our secondary is in great hands with Jamie Hill (I imagine eventualy he'll get a pay raise and Bronco will hand over a share of the defensive play calling to him, just to keep him around). Tafuna, Bradley, Fowler, Pendleton and others playing safety with Pittman, Howard and Johnson at the corners. Depth and injury could be a concern at the corner position. I have no idea who the back up is to those 3 should someone go down.....

Throw in the most experienced offense in the history of BYU next year and possibly the best offensive line and you can see why people are starting to pinch themselves.

Even our special teams will be upgraded with Sorenson dropping bombs on kickoffs and having the leg if we need a 45+ yarder, while Payne will be experienced enough to knock in anything shorter.

Give us one more year of Bryan Kehl and a corner in the mold of a Brian Gray, Tim Mctyer and I think you could reasonably talk about a national championship run......regardless we may be talking about the most talented BYU team in the last 25 years.

You're a little off but not much. I'll make a two-deep when I get a little more time One thing is G Pittman will be a starting corner next year. Brannon Brooks should be a solid backup at corner as well.
