Just to clarify. Jadon wasn't a UFC fighter. UFC is the major league of mixed martial arts. Jadon fought in some smaller leagues.

That is true, good call. I don't follow that area, so thanks for the clarification.

Jorgensen is going on a mission. He has played on Special teams this year and in some games and he probably could crack the two deep were he to stay. As for Bills/Alisa, I think they will have a very hard time seeing play time behind guys like Nixon, Bauman, Doman, Hooks, Nelson, Wagner, Moala, Clawson (last two are expected to be here in January and would have 8 months more than the freshman to get up to speed.)

Manumaleuna and Dulan (he started at BYU last year at age 17) are headed out on missions. Covey, Ashworth, Hafoka (6'1, 200 when he got back from his mission, says he is just as fast as when he left) Browns (2 OL), some defensive players are back.

I would guess that most of the incoming freshman will redshirt, there are no major gaps to fill (which is a very good thing.) The only freshman from this year who definitely aren't leaving on missions are JJ DiLuigi, G Pittman, Brannon Brooks and probably Jordan Pendleton. (could be more, but the first three arent LDS and Pendleton has often said he isn't planning on going.)

Man we will still be stacked at LB again next year. We are going to have a ton of depth everywhere on the team next year. This is very good since a couple of players every year go down before the season starts or right after the season starts. If any LB's get hurt, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bills or Alisa push for playing time. They are really, really talented as well as smart football players. But I think you're probably right that they won't see much playing time aside from special teams. They'll sure push the LB's in front of them though.

Agreed. I forgot to throw VanSweden in that group as well. A dark horse because very little is known is Masi Tuitama. He graduated in 2007 and will be here in Winter. No idea what he's been up to (My guess is community college) but he must be special if they wanted him even with a half year lay-off.

Thank you to Pwride and everybody else for this info.

I think I'm more excited for next year now than I am for our next two games

Should I feel bad that I haven't had to look up any of this information besides Jamison Fitt's name? Yikes....

I love the recruiting, keeps me going in the off-season. Forgot to answer the question about Uona Kaveinga, he was at the game on Saturday and apparently quite interested in BYU.

2008 recruits will be very good, but 2009 is shaping up to be unlike any a non-BCS team has ever seen. Alread BYU has commitments from 2 top 100 players (Bills and Timo) and I have heard several times that Manti Teo (top 10 players, some say he is #1) is practically committed to BYU.
