Bottom dwellers of BCS conferences are better games for us than games against mid tier competition of non BCS conferences(ex. Nevada)

I don't think I'd like to play all three service acadamies the same year but there are lots of other east coast schools that would love a matchup with BYU

I totally agree with dumping USU aka Logan HS. They do nothing for the program. I've brought this up before and there just seems like there are too many Utah homies that enjoy their meaningless back yard blowout.

The whole situation makes me wonder if Holmoe is really "fully invested" in getting us the best schedule he can. And it makes me wonder how many of his relatives live in Logan

We have some good games set and we had 4 in a row against Notre Dame but for some reason they got terminated and i dont know why.

The reason that BYU isn't playing Notre Dame is that Tom Holmoe didn't get it done, and it doesn't appear that Holmoe ever intended to schedule a 4 game series with Notre Dame.

There are others that can elaborate more on this. But Holmoe did a radio interview back in August (I think) where he said that there was no intention to schedule Notre Dame. I think this is a big mistake for the program.

It's my understanding that Val Hale had intended to do another four-game series with Notre Dame, as a direct result of the good will that was created when Notre Dame asked us to do some schedule re-arranging so that they could open the season against us in 2004. Remember that headache? Well, shortly thereafter, Hale was "let go" as AD, and I don't believe that Holmoe ever followed up on it, probably by choice. There are still some places out there on the net that show BYU and Notre Dame playing a four-game series starting in 2010, but apparently it's not going to happen.

I doubt that Holmoe has an family in Logan, since he is convert to the Church and grew up in Cali.

I believe that Holmoe may be getting some pressure from old blue hairs who want to see BYU play USU because the game actually meant something 35 years ago. Also, there may be pressure from other sources to play USU so that the Beehive Boot can be in play each season.

I'd rather play USU than a D-IAA team. My worst nightmare, strenght of schedulewise, is that BYU plays USU and a D-IAA team in the same season.

Would you rather a win over USU or a win over EWU? Im not from Utah, so I don't have a bias, but I'd take a W against a FBS team any day over FCS.

As to why big teams out east don't schedule us, because they have nothing to gain. You beat BYU, yipee, you beat the MWC champ. You lose, you lost to a mid-major.
