I don't know much about Georgia's defense, but I just don't see Hawaii not scoring at least 21. I still think they lose by two. Maybe something like Cal vs. AFA. 48 -36. Just a guess really. I guess being on the BCS outside looking in a part of me wants Hawaii to stick it to Georgia, but another part of me has never really forgiven them for taking us to town in 2001.
Well, was I wrong or what! I got close to GA's score, but overestimated (imagine that...) Hawaii's ability to score on a good defense.
This should be a wakeup call to those in power that schedule BYU's non conference games. If you load up with a bunch of patsies then you run the risk of getting embarrased in your BCS bowl. Losing a good game is one thing. Losing by 31 points is another altogether.
(I said this in another thread but it fit here better.)
Bronco had better sit up and take a good hard look of what "not to do".
This is the perfect example of what could happen if you "dumb down" your schedule.
You may get your money and the prestige of a BCS berth, but you also had better be prepared to be there.
Hawaii wasn't.
Scheduling cupcakes and being the laughing stock of the system doesn't get you many points (in my book).
If Bronco is in it just for the money it brings to the program.... then that ought to be his verbal stand, and prepare his fans, that as he schedules his opponents, (I'm guessing he has something to say about it) "this is the (dumbing down phase) of our program and I don't care how BYU looks as long as I get us there!"
If he wants to rekindle the teams past pride and glory, he won't pull a Hawaii.
BYU is better than that...I hope.
