The Trojans would beat LSU or Ohio State right now, but because of their two season losses when they had guys banged up, they were thrust out of national championship contention. USC is the best team in the nation right now and they'll be sitting at home watching LSU and Ohio State compete for the title. Money wins, players lose.
If there were a playoff and I were a betting man, I would put my money an Southern Cal too.
You gotta love teams like Southern Cal that schedule good teams during non-conference as well. The Trojans have Ohio State, Virginia, and Notre Dame on tap for their OOC games next year.
You're 100% right about this. I can only imagine a playoff game between USC and Georgia (the OTHER team I think would be capable of making a run). That would be an absolutely fantastic game.
