If this is true that is AMAZING. The biggest recruit of this class.

I'm pretty excited about it like every one else, but I think Austin Holt is still our biggest recruit of this class and to whom we owe the most praise. He was the first one to sign on and has never really waivered (even though many a Cougar fan has accused him of doing so). IMO he's better than the 4th TE in the nation they rate him as and hopefully he decides to take his mission right away so he can come back and be a four year starter after Dennis, Andrew, and Vic graduate. I even think he would be good enough to get thrown in the mix as a true freshman but it couldn't be more perfect for him to leave for his mission now and then possibly take a redshirt or start right upon his return when the TE field is so open.

I'm exctied for each and every recruit of this class but I'm most excited to see Holt.

Obviously at this point it is splitting hairs, as they are both huge recruits and both are probably bigger than any recruit we got last season. The reason I felt that Kaveinga was a bigger get is because he was #1 offered by USC - that is saying something pretty phenomenal, whereas Holt apparently was not. (Obviously this could be a fit/scheme issue, but still USC is USC). #2 Kaveinga fills a bigger need then Holt. And I can just dream of Te'O and Kaveinga lining it up for years to come!

We've already got a couple of Top 100 guys committed for the '09 class. That should set the tone early for the kind of recruiting season 2009 will be. Think of what that class could look like come February 2009... Craig Bills, Adam Timo, Manti Te'o, John Martinez, Xavier Sua'filo, Tui Crichton, Brett Thompson, Darren Markle, Steven Fanua... That could be the mother load, the recruiting class of all recruiting classes the likes of which BYU has never even seen or dreamt of. Makes me drool just thinking about it. I almost love the recruiting season more than the actual season.
