25 secs left in the half, BYU ball, shot clock is off.

BYU has a 20 point lead. This game is the complete opposite for BYU as opposed to the UNLV game at LV.

BYU squandered a chance for more points, leaving JT with a horrible shot to end the half.

They couldn't get the ball into Cummard's hands.

Great first half all the same.

We are doing well on the boards, which i think is the biggest difference in today's performance. We're getting second chances as well as points in transition.

I think UNM wasn't expecting JT to be so hot (who was). They'll adjust for him in the 2nd. Lee only has like 5 pts though and TP doesn't have many more so we're up 20 and our two leading scorers can still get hot.

First half stats.

BYU 52% NM 27% shooting. BYU is 73% from the arc.

BYU is 6-11 at the line, NM 5-6.

BYU only 4 TOs, but NM has only 1 TO.

BYU 25 boards, UN 17.

They've been doubling, tripling Trent when he's in the post and they've tried to keep tabs of Cummard as well, leaving the "cold" guy wide opening Tavernari. Burgess has done well in going to the hoop and making his 3s. Plaisted has hands of jello as he can't dribble and go up strong with the ball. Yet, Plaisted has been very good on the boards and clogging the middle today.
