I don't understand why a guy gets kicked out of BYU for attending church only 50% of the time. There's got to be more to the story.

You have to have an ecclesiastical endorsement to attend BYU. Kent Walton's bishop withdrew his ecclesiastical endorsement.

That's crazy. Walton is a stud player and I hope something is done to enable him to be reinstated. He still wants to play for BYU and finish his schooling there if possible. This is really odd. I found out that I'm actually in his stake, after it said who his stake president was.

I hope the real facts come out soon and that something can be done! Fingers are crossed.

I understand that. I've never heard of a bishop withdrawing an ecclesiastical endorsement if someone has not violated the Honor Code, or broke the law, and attended church at least 50% of the time.

That's why I really, really hope there is more to the story.

There has got to be more to this story. Someone does not like Walton and does not want to say why.

This is retarded. There are just some bishops out there that don't really care about the kids long term well being and would rather want to look like a hard A that is soooo to the letter of the law. You know how college students are, sometimes we attend a friends ward, sometimes we go home for the weekend, etc. I know, I know, some will say, but you need to go to your ward... duh, but come one. (and I don't think this way because he is an athlete.)
