This just in: Church cancelled for hundreds of wards due to snow; on a side note BYU announces that the number of students attending the school is expected to drop and that it will be in the thousands....
Nope. Church wasn't cancelled. Not unless they decide that a sunny day, with a slight breeze in southern AZ is going to make someone "slide off the road"....
I live in Ohio, and about a month ago church only went for about an hour and a half, and then the bishop told everyone to go home because of the 3 inches of snow on the ground. Being from Utah, I found it funny, but the cities and counties really aren't prepared for snow out here. I can't understand why, because they have it every year.
When I lived in Virginia they cancelled church once for about 5 inches of snow. That is the only time I have ever had it happen. Although for about a year we had 5 wards meeting in the same building and our church was only 2:45 minutes. That was kind of nice.
