Please man. Get over your little "WWBD" crap. Sure, I wish the kid the best down at USC, but get off your high horse. And yes, I am pissed because he didn't his committment. He is a flake! Hopefully he wil change his mind while he is on his mission.
Just a quick question. If he is a flake for not keeping his commitment to the Y, is he a double flake for choosing the Y after his mission because he would no longer honor his commitment (which he actually signed) at USC? How does the kid win? Is he only a winner if he does what you want?
The only thing that I am upset about is the way it was handled. It was a direct slap in the face of BYU. I would have had no problem if, after taking his visit to USC it opened his eyes to a few things and he changed his mind.
But, after giving his verbal commitment to Bronco, he calls a press conference on signing day and didn't have the balls to let BYU know before. He may be a hard hitter but the way he handled the situation was cowardly.
Choosing another school after committing to BYU = Flake.
Choosing BYU after committing to another school = Inspired.

I also agree with Uona's dad. Who knows what that kid was thinking. "Flake" is a harsh word, but it's also accurate. Too bad his honor takes a hit AND he misses out on all that BYU has to offer, athletically, academically, spiritually, and femininally (new word?). Hopefully he doesn't miss out on a mission as well, now that he has chosen to go down this road despite the quiet whispers of what was right that he told TBS about...
