BYU picked up their first commit for 2010. He graduates this season and gets his scholie in 2010.

n Waco, Texas, linebacker Cody Monsen, who helped lead Temple High to a District 13-5A championship, said he has committed to sign with BYU's recruiting class of 2010 after serving a two-year mission. His father, Bryce Monsen, who once coached high school ball in Utah County, is the Temple football coach. Cody led Temple's defense with 93 tackles (45 solo), seven for losses, while recovering three fumbles.

To date, Monsen appears to be the first committed recruit for the Cougars in 2010.

I will be shocked if Cameron plays a down at USC. The guy is TINY! BYU football never recruited him so I will stick with 1-1

Cameron won't need a schollie. His sisters baby's daddy is a multimillionaire.....

I was just reading how low - 82 - Rivals ranked the BYU recruiting class. Utah was at 60. Did anyone else rank it higher? Bronco will make the best of what he got, but early indications were that this recruiting class would get a little more respect.

Ironically, I had noticed years ago, after much Cougar success, Coach Edwards started to have more success in winning big name recruits, and ironically, the on-the-field results went the opposite direction. Bronco seems to have gotten back to the mold of finding players with things to offer in a team concept and winning without Nationally recognized High school superstars.
