Romney is the smartest and most capable candidate, period. Hear me out...Huck and McCain created a sort of "alliance" to keep Romney from getting the Republican nomination and eventual presidency. It would have been almost certain that a McCain/Huck campaign for president/vice president would have ensued, garnering both the christian vote as well as the liberal republican and patriotic vote. It would have been a slam dunk for them and they would have had the joy of seeing Romney lose. However, Romney decides to "suspend" his campaign (that will come in later) basically pitting Huck and McCain, buddies, against each other. Now, neither of them want to concede victory so the campaign goes on, while Romney gets to sit back and watch the "buddies" go after each other. But this isn't all, because Romney only suspended his campaign, he is essentially still part of the run for presidency and in the event of a Huck/McCain fallout, he would still be a legit candidate with his awarded delegates and could potentially jump back into the race and...win. My point? Romney is brilliant, he is playing McCain and Huck like pawns against each other and it will be fun to watch how it unfolds.
