What are we hearing from the combines. I have looked at ESPN.com and they don't have anything yet. I'm anxious to hear about BK and Poppy. I think BK will be in the top 10 LBs selected if he shows well at the combines.

Kehl needs to show good speed (4.5) and strength to get selected in top 10 LBs.

One last note: Kehl won't actually work out until Monday.

Every thing I have heard has said the poppinga is going to get drafted and is is the better prototypical NFL linebacker. Why no invite to the combine?

I'm glad you posted a link to those bios. I'm betting not many people have perused the analyses yet, but for those looking for a chuckle, pull up Colt Brennan's analysis and look at who they say he best compares to at the next level. That one will have me smiling all through the weekend.

Poppinga could get drafted, but probably not until 5th-7th round. His problem is that he isn't quite big enough for ILB nor fast enough for OLB. He is like Jensen, who was a great linebacker, but not the right size. Jensen is sticking on practice squads so there is a shot for Poppinga (not to mention he has a brother in the NFL so that will get him some looks.)

Invites are based on who scouts/combine organizers consider top-flight draft prospects. You can still get drafted (Pro Day in March to show off) but its much harder.
