I'll believe it when I see the channel on my TV in my living room. Until then, I don't think I can handle the emotional let down if it's not true, so I am choosing not to believe it.

At long last, The Mtn. has a deal with DirecTV.

The network devoted to the Mountain West Conference has not been available on any satellite service since its inception in September 2006. But Jeff Schemmel, San Diego State director of athletics, said today DirecTV will offer The Mtn. beginning Aug. 1.

An official announcement is expected later today or tomorrow.

You know the thing that pisses me off is that they wait until Aug. 1st. Let's hope our commish doesn't do anything to ruin the deal between then and now....
