Ritter, Thank you for the update. I did not to mean to come off as unappreciative in my first post after the update.

Ah shucks. My two degrees in engineering were all for nought, then.

That isn't a BUG. That is a FEATURE.

I know your joking, but I'll offer a rebuttal anyway :) When the program doesn't function as intended due to programming error, it is called a bug. The way to fix it is simple if you have the source code or the base file. One uses the following format:

if
int((n+1)/8) == (n+1)/8

then
p = (n+1)/8;

else
p = 1 + int((n+1)/8);

where n is the number of responses and p is the number of pages. The programmer must have accidentally omitted the "+1" in the numerator.

The programmer that created that FEATURE was rewarded with a nice cushy job creating "FEATURES" for Microsoft Vista. Rumor has it that he has been very successful...

LOL!!! Agreed. Microsoft Windows has been referred to by many a Linux-junkie as the largest virus ever made. Sadly, its still easier to use than Linux.

Two engineering degrees. Must be a glutton for punishment.

My experience being in the Honors Program and a CS major at BYU was that the most helpful class I ever survived was a technical writing course. The next most helpful was a house wiring class I took for fun. In the 28 years I have spent as a software developer since I finished my BSCS curriculum at BYU, I have found little beyond Dr. Ashton's introductory programming concepts class that transferred to a real world work environment.

Currently I start a 15-month contract position next monday as the software architect for a Boeing 737 flight simulator being built for a airline pilot training facility under construction in India. I'll be looking to hire a few experienced software developers with C/C++, Qt, graphics, Linux, Windows, & etc. Experience with flight dynamics, control laws, DO-178B standards, is highly desirable.

Is it going to stay this way where the quote windows are all crazy and there is a typing box for every single post that makes it nearly impossible to read through a thread, or is this some temporary fix?

Funny, when I first got signed in, I saw the little quick reply box in every message, but now that it's been awhile, they have gone away. I wonder if you need to refresh or clear your cache.
