Kehl a surprise at combine 6 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 6
Of course not to us though. I didn't want to read through the whole combine thread to see if anyone had posted this or not. Here is a one-liner about Kehl being a surprise at the combine. Nice recognition I guess.

"Bryan Kehl, OLB, BYU: His 40 time (4.65) was faster than most scouts expected."

Funny thing about the article's comment is that apparently his speed was a surprise, but it wasn't a surprise that he was among the top performers in every category except 60-yard shuttle. He really helped himself at the combine. I expect to see some more press on him as we get closer to draft day.

He was top performer in ALL categories. The 60 yard shuttle was not considered a requirement for LBs, so the majority did not participate, including Kehl. He was in the top 5 for all events in which he participated, including his 42 on the Wonderlic (per Rhiannon Potkey), which is practically a Mensa-level score for a defensive player.

He will be fun to watch at the next level. He will prove to the kids that want to go to USC that you can play at BYU and not only get noticed but excel. Go Cougs

If 42 is accurate that is amazing. I worked for a company once where the wonderlic was part of the management application and we could not hire anyone into a management position if their score was not a 21 or higher. I got a 35 and it gave me pretty good bragging rights amongst management and this was right after I graduated from Cornell and was used to taking tests. A 42 is really a great accomplishment and I would venture to say would put him in the top 3% of all NFL prospects to ever take the test.
