It amazes me how some of these players score so low. I have taken the ESPN sample test before and did pretty well. A few months later, I was required to take it for a job interview...and I saw several of the exact same questions! This is something the players can and should prep for whether they like it or not. They know it is coming and have no excuse for doing poorly. I doubt some of the OL like running the 40 at the combine, but they prepare and do it.

Way to go Kehl. Hopefully some of the GMs and coaches have some of the same smarts that Kehl demonstrated on the test and realize they need him on their team.

On that little ESPN test and with no pressure on me I scored a 40. You've got to chalk up some of the low scores to nerves and pressure. But anyone who score in the teens should not be allowed to procreate.

espn.com review the LB performances and didn't even mention Kehl!?
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft08/insider/columns/story?columnist=mcshay_todd&id=3264907

Yet they mention Steve Octavien (Nebraska) and Tavares Gooden (Miami) who only out performed performed Kehl in the 40 yard dash...by 0.01 and 0.03 seconds respectively. In the meantime Kehl bested them in all other categories.

They mention Curtis Lofton (Oklahoma) who wasn't a top performer in any category, while Kehl was in every category!

Apparently, even at the combine what school you went to counts for more than your on field performance, at least to ESPN.

You're right about the school you went to mattering to ESPN. But regardless of what ESPN says, as long as it's the NFL teams and not sportswriters drafting people, Bryan will still be okay.
