1, Don't show the BYU games and get the BYU fan base upset. That will inspire BYU fans to hound their TV networks to add The MTN. Isn't it obvious The MTN knows that if they don't show SDSU games there will still be no reaction by SDSU fans. The MTN cannot count on any other MWC fan base to get passionate except BYU. The MTN is purposesly targeting BYU because they know they can rely on a passionate response by BYU fans to complain to their cable providers.
I don't agree with this point. BYU fans are not going to call the Dish carriers to demand a channel when that channel is not carrying a game. Yes, the fans will be passionate and make calls, threats, etc. but those calls will be made to the MTN about carrying games. If anything, not carrying a BYU game is detrimental to getting fans to call the Dish people. If they put the game on the MTN, and only the MTN, then the fans will call the Dish people.
