Those of you who weren't lucky enough to attend the game missed Ben Criddle in a wacky disguise busting some sweet breakdance moves with the Cougarettes during a timeout. It was awesome. As was the game in general.
Thanks again for the updates Cougarpeasant. Not to look ahead ;) but lets hope we can get a ton of fan support in Vegas so the Rebs don't have such an advantage.
It is indeed a great time to be a Cougar!
Couldn't agree more... I'll be there. I have my plans to be in Vegas next wednesday night, drivin down. I'll have 2 friends with me. Lets bring all of Provo down there. Show UP cougar fans...we gotta show UNLV that they're not the only team in their arena. Go COUGARS!
Oh, and I was very disappointed in the (lack of) general public. Bargain seats, but only 14,700 people the non-student section upper bowl was almost completely empty.
In response to whoever asked about the best conference record in MWC history, that would be the Utes in 04-05 when they went 13-1.
Utah finished 15-2 in conference play that year after losing to New Mexico in the MWC Tourny. BYU could still finish with a better MWC record overall if the Cougars win out.
So, the Wyoming game!
~BYU wins their 47th home game in-a-row by 17 points, longest active streak in the nation (which we all know and are quite proud of). Seniors Burgess, Murdock, and Ivanovic have gone undefeated in Provo over the past 2 years.
~BYU locks up another outright conference championship.
~RPI stays at 23, 24th/26th national ranking is defended until at least Saturday.
~JT sets the MWC record for made 3s in one season (76). He's gotta be at least an All-MWC 2nd-Teamer. 18 points, 5 steals, and 5 rebounds tonight.
~Trent scores 23 and grabs 11 rebounds.
~Burgess scores 13, Fredette has 4 assists, and Cummard scores 12, adding 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks.
Next Up: The Real Trap Game!
New Mexico, SDSU, Utah, Wyoming, and CSU all lost at TCU.
