Bronco is a great coach and it would be sad if we werent able to keep him at BYU. Lets not forget his profession is to coach football. Where ever that may be.

On second thought, that might precipiate a few Yewt heart attacks. I'd rather kill them off with a 3-pointer at the buzzer than a harmless prank.

Besides Bronco never would have come out and said "I'll be here as long as they'll have me" if he thought that it was a possibility at any point in the future that he'd leave. Because then he would look like a phony and wouldn't be keeping his 'word' which we all know is important to him. He expects it of everyone else around him almost as much as he expects it of himself.

Plus he isn't all about the money. He knows what the unique duty of the BYU coach is and he is all about it. No, this guy is a lifer or will at least be manning the helm for another 15 years I'll bet. That actually doesn't seem that long compared to some guys like Lavell, Bowden and Paterno, but that's a nice long college football coaching career for most.

I agree, if any of you have seen the video "Tradition, Spirit, Honor" you would see that it is very unlikely that he goes anywhere else, not imposible if he feels that there could be a missionary opportunity, but unlikely. It isn't hard to see how Collie said he believes God helped him (perform well) make a catch when in this movie Bronco calls the turning point in his first season when they started doing firesides.
He truely loves God and believes in the church. He understands that this is a missionary tool. To non-members but also to those kids who come to the firesides that are members and see that you can be both a good LDS person and a great football player. Not to take anything away from Levell But I don't know that we have ever had this much "Spirit" in a BYU team and coaching staff before, that's just my opinion.

No one is taking anything for granted, especially not Tom Holmoe. But the man said with his very own lips that he'll be at BYU as long they'll have him. I'll take him for his word considering how important promises are to him.

And what if he interprets "as long as they'll have me" to mean "as long as they pay me what I'm worth, and should they ever decide they do not want to pay me what I am worth, I guess they don't really want me anymore."
