The funny thing is, in the MWC, the horrible officiating isn't based in conspiracy. It's just that the refs are such weak-minded individuals, they can't handle the pressure of a home crowd. That's why home teams in the MWC always shoot 10-20 more free throws than their road opponent. It's a disgrace to officiating.
Boo the MWC refs.

I for one have been impressed with Jared Cowley's objectivity for years. I appreciate the apparent levelheadedness you usually bring to this forum.
But in this call, I disagree. We have a very poor view of the angle of the offensive players leap. The only camera angle that even gets us close to what really happened from the ref's pov is the one over the ref's right shoulder. From that angle the offensive player leaps to his right so that if the defense stays put, he slides by. Not really a lot of contact.
But it appears without a good view from any other camera, that the defender leans left and lowers his left arm that causes the majority of the contact. Perhaps it should have been let go. But no sideword movement would have resulted in a lot less contact. But he leaned left. Late. Ref called it.
