This was unfortunate. TCU could have leveled the playing field for the entire conference.

On another note, I guess no one will be accusing BYU of taking CSU lightly.

SDSU is one of only two conference teams where we are 1-1 and this game will settle the score for the season. So let's settle the score.

The other one is UNLV.

After watching the replay about 20 times, I've decided that it should have been called an offensive foul. The UNLV player both jumped into a firmly set defender and lowered his arm to clear out the defender's arms.

Unbelelievable. Actually, that's not the right word... it's completely believable... this is what we've been dealing with the last few years since the tourney has been back in Vegas. I sure hope that TCU is going to make a big stink about that call. All the coaches are going to have plenty of ammo now to really let loose when talking about how this tourney gives UNLV an unfair advantage. How does a team that shot from behind the arc like TCU did end up losing?! How do you blow your freakin' whistle on a play at the end of the game like that?! Let 'em play. It's not supposed to be decided by the stripes at the end of the game. And if anything, Adams should have been charged with an offensive foul. The TCU guy was standing in that same spot practically from the moment the ball was inbounded. As believable as it is, it's still unbelievable.

After seeing the play, my frustration now turns to sheer anger. I'm ticked. There will be much to answer to about that call. That defender was straight up and down and hadn't moved from that spot for most of that play. Offense initiated contact on that play and it should have waved off the basketball and gone the other way.
I hope UNLV loses tomorrow night. I don't want to face them, not because I'm afraid of them, but because they should never get to the championship game. If we face them, we will have the same fate. I'm already calling it.

It is very hard from the camera angles to determine if the defender moved prior to the contact or as a result of the contact. The camera underneath doesn't show enough to really help us see what the ref was seeing (if anything). I have a hard time second guessing the call when the camera angles are so crappy. Why no camera on the far side?

Let's just all hope that if we meet UNLV in the final, that the game is not close at the final buzzer.
