BAD CALL!!! that was an offensive foul. Adams ran right into the guy and the guy was clearly set. TCU better make some noise about that call.

This is exactly the kind of game UNLV loses on a neutral floor. Watching the game, Wink Adams was obviously fueled by the crowd as he played out of his mind in the last few minutes.

I wouldn't put the call as home cooking, I would more likely call it regular MWC officiating. The officials in this league are terrible in all sports.

Oh, and watching the game last night I was reminded of something I really wanted to do when we were beating the crap out of UNLV at the Marriott Center:Taunt them with their annoying "Rebels... Rebels" chant. Is it poor sportsmanship? Probably, but I think our fans doing that in a title game win over UNLV would be precious.

And I agree with stuckinbig10country, the MWC officials are too bad in general too chalk up the calls as home cooking.

The thing is, I was pretty sure the 3 pointer on the other side that put TCU up by two was actually a two. I'm pretty sure with the step and pump fakes that his right foot was actually on and partly across the line. Anyone else see that? If so, TCU should have been up by one rather than by two, which means Adam's shot should have won the game--should have been a non-call on that shot.

I for one have been impressed with Jared Cowley's objectivity for years. I appreciate the apparent levelheadedness you usually bring to this forum.

But in this call, I disagree. We have a very poor view of the angle of the offensive players leap. The only camera angle that even gets us close to what really happened from the ref's pov is the one over the ref's right shoulder. From that angle the offensive player leaps to his right so that if the defense stays put, he slides by. Not really a lot of contact.

But it appears without a good view from any other camera, that the defender leans left and lowers his left arm that causes the majority of the contact. Perhaps it should have been let go. But no sideword movement would have resulted in a lot less contact. But he leaned left. Late. Ref called it.
