Fouls definitely seemed weird. But I would have liked to see more driving from BYU. when someone is playing you that agressive you've got to drive the lane and either get the foul or kick it out. BYU was playing way too far from the hoop.
This is a blue print for any NCAA tourney team to beat us. We have to go home and figure out what we're going to do to combat it because we will see it again.
BYU was driving. But they couldn't buy a foul call on the drives. UNLV could somehow push them out above the free throw line without ever getting a foul called. Basketball does not work that way.
I will be ticked if UNLV gets a higher seed than us again this year. Same thing happened last year - we win the conference but they win the Las Vegas Invite and get a 7 seed while BYU gets a lame 8. If this happens again this year,
I wonder how many tickets the MWC would sell if the tournament were at Energy Solutions Arena. I bet there'd be a lot more BYU fans and tons more Ute fans-but only during bandwagon-worthy seasons.
