I think Max ought to get like 35% of the reps during the spring, Brenden should see 35% and Covey should see 15% with the other 15% going to Munns (invest in the future). That would give Max just a little more refining that he needs while giving our backups some valuable time and experience under center.

I don't really foresee needing the backups at all this year but still it'd be nice to have them ready just in case. I have no doubt Gaskins would be able to come in against the MWC foes and lead us to a victory if Hall went down, but would he be able to do it against the likes of UCLA or UW? I think he could if we adequately prepare him and get him a healthy quantity of reps in spring and fall camps. We don't have a QB battle this spring so the projected starter doesn't need the bulk of the reps like last fall.

I, too, am excited about football. What exactly he was saying is unsure other than it was a clear cut shot at a sacred part of our religion. More evidence that political correctness does not extend to us. Nice, eh?

He lost any credibility with me from that comment. Totally classless. I never followed him before but I now see what kind of guy he is.

He had a ton of LDS players too, what a chump

Majerus was a great coach and is a complete waste of flesh. Quite a lot I might add. He hasn't had any credibility since his first day at Utah. This comment is pretty mild compared to some of the stuff he has done in the past.

Thought this was a Spring Football thread. Not a bash session for a long gone Ute basketball coach...

Potkey talked about Munn's leaving for a mission soon. I had always thought he was a no go but I am happy to hear he's answering the call.

Anyone willing to take a stab at the QB/backup outlook for the next few years based on this? Who'd be the transition from Hall to Munns since Hall has 2 years and the likelihood of Munns being ready then after a mission seems at best, dicey?

Just re-read the blog. Looks like it's Covey. What do folks think of the longrange QB situation?

Honestly I think Covey will redshirt and McCuen will be the 3rd stringer.
