BYU basketball is what it is.

Again it is proven that our seeding was as deserved, we just aren't a clutch enough team to win a close game against a decent team.

We'll get another shot next year.

And the same thing will happen again next year unless the team learns how to shoot free throws, rebound, and play tough.

We played like we always play in big games that aren't in the MC... like a bunch of pansies. Am I shocked? Not a bit. Thats why I picked Texas A&M in my brackets. (That and I thought since I had always picked them and they lose that if I picked against them I would win. I was wrong.)

I will not be fooled into getting my hopes up for our basketball team anytime in the near future. Texas A&M was not a good team. They had one guy making shots so what did we do? Let him get open some more. We didn't put Lee on him or anything to see if that would help, we left Burgess to get his lunch handed to him.

When the MWC champion can't beat the 6th place team from the Big 12 we don't deserve to think we have a good program.

The only thing I will look forward in the next few years will be football. I have had my heart broken too many times by this crappy backstabbing girlfriend that we call our basketball team.

I disagree. With our RPI we were deserving of a 6 seed. For example, compare our RPI (25) to Purdue, who had a 44 RPI and a 6 seed. We played consistently well during the season, and deserved the rewards that come with it. Our streak of post-season futility should have no bearing on this years seed.

What is frustrating is that we played so poorly. We may not be able to shake tough defense, but we can make our free throws.

I think we got the seeding we deserved. We haven't shown the committee we're ligitimate contenders. All we showed them this season was we're close. We were close to winning against UNC, close against MSU, close against WF, close against UNLV in the MWC tourney and close against A&M.

Close, but no cigar. We want love and "respect" from the committee we have to show we can finish close, important games, and we can't.

Only "respectable" win this season was over a dipleated Louisville team. Sure our RPI was 25, but a lot of that had to do with the fact we just played UNC, MSU and WF. We got browny points for losing to them. Next year, if we want the seed we "deserve" we have to win those games.

good season cougs. One thing I have a problem with is Tavernari forcin' 3's like crazy! The man is on fire when hes hot, but hes gotta have better restraint and take higher percentage shots. We also need an enforcer down low. We have a finesse player like plaisted which is great, but what were missing was a defensive force down low and that could have made a big difference. Im still impressed with the season, hopefully next year we can get out of the first round though.

My biggest fear has come to pass, BYU basketball has become the Notre Dame of football. They can play with the big boys in the regular season but they can't win in the post season.

Rebound, bottom line! You're right; we lost, fair and square. That game was ours.
