The REALITY is we lost to a lower seed, proving in the minds of the selection committee that we are not as good as a 9 seed. We lost to a 9 seed. How can you say that makes BYU better than an 8 seed?

No, BYU was not screwed, they were given a fair shot and LOST.

And I'm not gloating. I sure wish they had one, but was not at all surprised to see them go down on a neutral court against a decent opponent.

The REALITY is that we played a nine seed not an 11 or 12 seed. We played a tougher team than what the five and six seed teams played. So had we played as a five or six and won then would you say we deserved that seed? The strongest teams in comparason to each other in the first round are the 8 and 9 seeds. So BYU had one of, if not the toughest, first games amongst the top 32 teams.

...and we lost. The only thing we proved is that we aren't good enough to beat a 9 seed.

Leaving last year's top 3-point shooter wide open on three straight possessions and throwing up 3-pointers of your own in the first two minutes without going underneath to your talented big man with a signle defender...stupid. I didn't watch the game but listening on the radio I had to wonder if this was the same team. How many points did Plaisted have in the first half? 2? Are you kidding me? That was a horrible game and an embarassing loss to "the best regular season b-ball team in BYU history".

Oh, and special thanks to that moron Dana Greene from Channel 4 for conveniently making it a point to Jay Bilas that BYU hadn't won a first round game in umpteen years...thanks Dana, for making sure the one time BYU gets mentioned by ESPN it is for something negative. It's no wonder Channel 4 has been bottom of rankings for so long.

So glad foootball is in the headlights now....

I totally agree, BYU has a monkey on their backs about NCAA tournament. Hopefully we can do it next year but don't hold your breath
