Anyone really know about Vic's history as a linebacker. It seems he was All-region or something like that in California at that position. This really decreases the sting of missing out on Uona. It looks like Vic will be an immediate impact player possibly even more effective than Uona would have been since he knows the BYU way, and now with one more scholarship available. Now we just need to land Manti Teo.
It's hard to say. I think So'oto has the physical tools to be very good. He's bigger than Kaveinga (Vic is currently 6'4" 248, Uona is 6'1" 225) and slightly faster too (Kaveinga runs a 4.76 40 while Vic runs a 4.75 40...according to Scout.com). What I like most about Vic is his understanding of the TE position. It will make him that much more effective in coverage. He could be a very, very scarry pass rusher as well.
